Indigo Farms Market

Indigo Farms has been a community staple since the 1980s, when O.K. and Mary Bellamy first opened the on-farm market to share the produce grown on their land. Today, the farm is still very much a family effort, now run by their son Sam, his wife Sarah, and granddaughter Sallie with her husband AJ.

The farm spans fields, forested areas, and wetlands—about 14 acres of cultivated land—with a focus on sustainable, environmentally mindful growing. While not USDA-certified organic, Indigo Farms relies heavily on organically based methods, aiming to improve the soil, promote beneficial insects and wildlife, and deliver fresh, nutrient-dense food.

Not everything in the market is grown on-site—the family also sources from trusted regional farms to offer seasonal favorites like South Carolina peaches and North Carolina mountain apples. What you will always find, though, is food grown with care, respect for the land, and a deep sense of tradition.
